What is Salvation?

If you were to stand before God and He asked, “Why should I let you into heaven?”, what would your answer be? Being good? Obeying the Ten Commandments? Going to church? Scripture shows us how we can know for sure we can go to heaven. By following the A, B, C steps of salvation listed below, you can spend eternity with Jesus.

  • A - Admit you are a sinner.  Romans 3:10 - "For there is none righteous, no not one."  Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
  • B - Believe in Jesus Christ and that He is our only hope of salvation.  Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift  of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."  John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life."
  • C - Confess your sins and that Jesus is your Lord.  Romans 10:9 - "If you confess with your mouth that "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised Him From the dead, you will be saved."  Romans 10:13 - "For whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved."

If you would like to have the assurance of eternal life, say this simple prayer from your heart, right now, wherever you are, believing:

"Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner and need forgiveness.  I believe that Your Son, Jesus, died in my place, to pay the penalty for my sin, and He rose again.  I want to turn from my sin and be forgiven.  So now I ask You, Lord Jesus, to come into my life, and I confess Jesus as my Savior and Lord.  In Jesus name I pray.  Amen"
