I was first called to minister in Southwest Michigan in June of 1998, but I did not come alone. Without the love and support of my wonderful wife, Carol, I would not be the man I am today. Proverbs 31:10 says it best, “An excellent wife who can find? For her worth is far above jewels.” As men in ministry know, serving is just as hard on our spouse as it is on us. My wife is my cheerleader, my coach, my listening ear, but most of all she is my prayer warrior. I am extremely thankful for Carol and the ministry and beautiful times that we share together.

God has entrusted His work to my care for 40 years, as a youth pastor and an associate pastor, through bus and music ministries and more. As a Music Evangelist, I pursued the Great Commission by going out with song. This time of ministry is summed up in the title of my recording, From the Heart.

When I first arrived at CBC in Hastings, I walked the neighborhood around the church asking God to give me just one person to share the gospel with. I would plant the seed and trust God for their salvation. For Carol and me, it is a celebration every time someone walks the aisle to accept Jesus as Savior. I have learned much about our community and I pray every day that we can see many come to know Jesus. God has been changing things for His good in His church, and we can reach people. All we have to do is get out there.

As Christians, we are all servants of the Most High God, and each week from the pulpit I teach the Word for His honor and glory. If you have a question regarding scripture, I am always willing to listen and give you an answer based on Biblical truth. If I don't know the answer, I will find it and get back to you.

I have been so blessed by our Creator and all He has done, and God has enriched my life. I did my Masters of Theology work at Freedom Seminary in Arkansas, and Carol has a degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. Together we have 5 children, 7 grandchildren, and a great grandchild.

In the end, you could say I am truly blessed of God and give Him thanks for those He has brought into my life to encourage me in the work of the Lord.

I hope you will consider sharing a little of your time with us.
